Eh oui, tout tranquilles que vous êtes, sortant des ponts de novembre, attendant Noël, vous ne vous doutez pas qu'ici se prépare le génocide annuelle des dindes. Thanksgiving. Surement la fête la plus importante de l'année avec Noël, et comme les choses sont bien faîtes, ca tombe toujours un jeudi, le vendredi est offert, donc un bon WE en perspective. Pour Thanksgiving, l'idée est simple. Vous achetez une dinde de 15kg congelée, vous la metter à décongeler 3-4 jours avant, il faut bien ça, et vous cuisiner le tout pour toute la famille, parce que tout le monde rentre pour l'occasion. Si vous ne célébrez pas Thanksgiving, restez chez vous, ne pensez même pas à prendre la voiture ou l'avion, c'est archibooké de partout.

You buy a 30 pounds frozen turkey, you start defreezing it a few days in advance, it takes that much, and you cook it for the whole family as they are all coming back for this occasion. If you don't celebrate thanksgiving, stay home, don't even think about taking your car or a place, it's overbooked.

Par la suite, ils ont poussé les remerciements plus loin en les exterminant presque tous, une fois qu'il n'en avaient plus besoin, mais nous rentrons là dans un autre débat. C'est une période de fête, ne parlons pas des sujets qui fâchent, et pour une fois qu'il y a une fête ici sans tendance religieuse, ne nous privons pas.
