Soirée pingouins / Penguins gathering
Nous étions de sortie hier, pour aller voir l'avant-dernière du Lac des Cygnes à l'opéra de San Francisco. Superbe batiment, la salle est plutôt sympa, et même en haut on entend bien. Superbe prestation d'un des ballets au top niveau mondial... Bonne soirée, donc, et une découverte intéréssante, à nouveau, concernant la mode vestimentaire aux US. Pour aller à l'opéra, les gens s'habillent chic. La différence vient de la notion qu'on attache à chic, et ici, pour les femmes, chic, ca veut dire montrer ses seins. Assez surprenant. Pour les hommes, pas de surprises, ambiance pingouins, évidemment, je dépareillai un peu. Et dans le même temps, vous pouvez croiser dans les couloirs des chemises à fleurs et des tongues, une coupe de champagne à main...
We were out yesterday, for the almost final of the Swan Lake, at the San Francisco opera. Wonderful building, the auditorium is nice, and the sound is nice even if you're at the top. Great show of one of the world's best ballet. Very pleasant evening, and a new discovery, related to the fashion in the US. When going to the opera, people are dressing well. All the difference lies in the meaning of "well dressed", and here, for the woman, it means showing your breast. Quite surprising. As far as men are concerned, no surprises, penguin spirit, of course I wasn't quite fitting there. But in the same time, you can came across Hawaiian shirts and tongues, a champagne cup in the hand...
