Allez, un peu de culture locale aujourd'hui. A quoi reconnaît-on immanquablement que l'on est en amérique au supermarché, ou en rentrant à la maison et en regardant ce que vous avez acheté ? Bon, un indice, on est sympa:
A few cultural facts today. How do you recognize straightaway that you are in the US when you are shopping in a supermarket or once home, looking at what you just bought ? Here is a hint, we're too kind:
Vous n'avez pas vu ? Il y a deux moyens infaillibles, donc. Le premier, évident, c'est l'étiquette Nutrition Facts, que vous trouvez sur absolument tous les produits (eau minérale...). Le deuxième est plus subtile, il faut regarder de plus près, dans la liste des ingrédients. Le corn syrup, ou sirop de maïs. Le corn syrup est absolument de partout (sauf l'eau minérale). J'espère que le type qui a inventé ça l'a breveté. En tout cas, ca doit représenter un sacré marché, rapporté au volume totale de nourriture consommé en amérique chaque année...

The second one is a bit more subtile, you need a closer look at the ingredients. Corn syrup. Corn syrup is everywhere (except mineral water). I hope that the guy that invented it also patented it. In any case, it must be some buisness here, when you think about the total amount of food consumed in the US every year...
